Higgler charged with office breaking and larceny |

A 26-year-old higgler who pleaded guilty to breaking into a university was sentenced to two years' imprisonment in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. He is Keneil Dilsworth from Kingston 2. Dilsworth, who has been charged with office breaking and larceny, was sentenced by senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey to two years' imprisonment with recommendation for drug treatment. It is alleged that on January 14, about 3 a.m., security personnel assigned to the University College of the Caribbean on Belmont Road in Kingston, caught the accused stealing two computer monitors, among other items. The computer items are said to worth $104,000. "Your Honour, mi deh pan drugs and me want some leniency. Mi a beg you some help," the accused said before he was sentenced. |
