Diandra Grandison, STAR Writer A case of jealousy and heartbreak is what is believed to have resulted in the death of merchandiser Olivene Henry of Content district, St Mary, after she was fatally stabbed in Ocho Rios, St Ann, last week Saturday. Reports from the Ocho Rios police are that at about 7:30 p.m., Henry, 29, who was walking near the Turtle River Park in Ocho Rios, was attacked by a man with a knife. According to the Ocho Rios police, they have in custody Sean Evans, 29, also a merchandiser, from Salem, Runaway Bay, in connection with the crime. Evans is Henry's common-law husband. It was reported that Henry was stabbed 15 times in the neck and upper body. Henry was reportedly taken to hospital and pronounced dead while undergoing treatment. Further investigations by THE STAR revealed that Evans, who was in a relationship prior to meeting Henry, had abandoned his then girlfriend to be with the now deceased and was devastated when she re-entered a relationship with her former lover. "He took it very hard, he was even admitted to hospital during the break up," a source close to the
couple said. |
