|||||
Spotlight Kunta Kunta Fast rising dancehall artiste Spotlight Kunta Kunta is getting ready to drop the follow-up to his debut album, Shine Bright, which was released last year. "I'm working on my sophomore album right now; the name of the album is High Intensity. It's going to feature 12 scorching tracks. This album will have a little bit of everything for everybody. It's gonna feature different styles and genres because I want it to appeal to music lovers all over the world." Spotlight said that the release of his debut album last year enabled him to increase his fan base tremendously as the album which was released via iTunes and a number of other Internet music sites, was warmly received by dancehall and reggae fans globally. "Shine Bright did a lot for my career. While it wasn't a massive seller, it helped to introduce me to dancehall fans worldwide. When I travel to perform, a lot of people are familiar with the tracks from the album. I've also gained a lot of new fans because of the album on Facebook and on twitter. That's one of the main reasons why I'm working on the follow-up album so quickly. When I study the business I realize all the top artistes consistently release an album and then they tour on it," he said. Spotlight Kunta Kunta is currently promoting two singles from the album, Bad Mind Story and Spotlight featuring Alastair. Both songs are currently receiving heavy rotation both locally and abroad. The supporting music video for Spotlight is also doing well. High Intensity is slated to be released this summer on the Kongo Music Production label. The album will be released both online and on CD.
