Cops seek teen's alleged killer

Up to press time last night, the police were still searching for a man who has been implicated in the stabbing death of a 16-year-old female student in Albion, Manchester, yesterday.

Dead is Martha Byrowe, a student of the Cross Keys High School in the parish.

Reports received are that about 1 p.m., Byrowe's body was found in a room of her house with multiple stab wounds.

The suspect who is being sought by the cops is only known by the aliases 'Bruce' or 'Sebastian'.

He is said to be 5 feet 9 inches tall, slim build, and of dark complexion.

Bruce or Sebastian, who usually sports a low haircut and speaks with a lisp, is from Top Albion district in the parish. He is known to frequent Halse Hall and Vere in Clarendon and also Montego Bay in St James.

Detectives attached to the Mandeville Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are appealing to residents of the community, or anyone who may know the whereabouts of Bruce or Sebastian to come forward.

Investigators believe that he may be able to help them in their investigations.

Anyone with information about this incident is being asked to contact the Mandeville CIB at 922-4487, Crime Stop at 311 or 811, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
