A man was shot and injured along Hughenden Avenue in St Andrew yesterday, about 7 p.m., forcing motorists who usually traverse that route to find alternatives.

When THE STAR arrived on the scene, police officers had already cordoned off the area, and the injured man had already been taken to the hospital.

Curious onlookers were also observed speculating among themselves what might have caused the shooting. However, they were unable to identify the man who had been shot.

" A mussi a drive-by inno," a man on the scene told THE STAR.

The St Catherine North police told our news team that they were unable to provide anything further as the matter is being investigated.
