Portmore residents Israel Linton and André McCormack, who are charged with receiving a stolen car, had their bail extended in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. The men, who are charged with receiving stolen property, were told their cases would be put off. they are on $100,000 bail each. They were told to return to the court on May 28 when the matter is scheduled to go to trail. Allegations are that in 2011 the owner of a 2003 Honda Integra motor car parked it outside his gate in Portmore. He went to bed and when he woke up the car was missing. A report was made to the police who launched an investigation. The court was told that in December last year the man was in the Corporate Area when he spotted McCormack driving the stolen vehicle. The police were contacted and the vehicle intercepted, and it was revealed that Linton had given him the vehicle to drive. Subsequent investigation led by Constable Compton Russell resulted in the men being charged. |
