The first elimination took place last Saturday in May Pen. The judges have been sifting through the numerous dance groups which have turned out to audition, picking out the talents they believe have what it takes to be the next Dancin' Dynamites. Between January 12 and February 2, auditions took place in May Pen in Clarendon, Sam Sharpe Square in St James, Brown's Town in St Ann, and at the Edna Manley College in Kingston. Fans of the competition will now be able to watch the competition this and every Sunday at 8 p.m. on TVJ, Jennifer Small of Jenny Jenny Productions disclosed. "We did the May Pen eliminations and there was nothing normal about it. The dancers who made it in the eliminations really worked hard to secure their spot in the competition, and these 10 groups moving on mashed up the place. We encourage all dancers and fans to tune in this Sunday to see these dancers we have decided deserve to move on to the next round of the competition," she said. Ten dance groups were chosen in last Saturday's elimination in May Pen after wowing the judges with their coordination and dance skills. LIME Jamaica, as the official telecoms sponsor of Dancin' Dynamites 2013, provided the 10 dance groups with a total of 40 handsets, which were presented by Nathaniel Palmer, the company's events manager. The audience in May Pen was also treated to special guest performances by Teflon, who sang his popular single Gun Rise, and Jah Vinci, who received a standing ovation from the crowd as he performed Mama Love. "I must say, the performances were spectacular. LIME is happy to be on-board with Jenny Jenny and her team in executing this competition. LIME values a good entertainment package, and I am sure that the viewers at home this Sunday will enjoy these performances," stated Palmer. LIME Jamaica will be giving a handset to each member of the 40 dance groups to be chosen in the elimination, and there are lots of additional prizes to be won by the top four finalists of the competition. The telecoms company is also giving television viewers the chance to win great prizes by simply voting for their favourite group. Each week, the top voter will receive a Nokia 5330, a Lenovo laptop, and a one year free Internet access.
