A licensed firearm holder was shot and killed along Spanish Town Road in Kingston last evening.

Dead is Jasper Green, 50, of Greater Portmore, St Catherine.

Up to press time last night, the police were unable to provide the details surrounding the incident.

THE STAR understands that the incident happened about 3:30 p.m.

Senior Superintendent Terrence Bent, who heads the Kingston Western Police Division, told our news team that the deceased was not robbed of his firearm.

Investigations continue.
