Latty J, Omari, Jermaine Edwards and dancehall sensations TOK and I-Octane brought the curtain down on a record- breaking Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run. The race had over 20,000 registered participants making it the largest road race per capita in the world.

The organisers of the race kept the energy on high from warm- up to finish. Karelle Ashley of JamFit went through a warm-up session in Emancipation Park after which the St Patrick Marching Band led participants from the park to the start line. Juliet Cuthbert picked up the baton at the start line doing a groovy warm-up session.

The melting pot of activities kept the buzz alive in the park with a flash mob which saw the Tivoli Dance Troupe executing precise movements to the mega hit Gangnam Style from North Korean singer Psy. Representatives of the group recently visited North Korea, for the Inner-city Intangible Cultural Cooperation NetworK.

It was great

Roberta Daley, artistic director of the Tivoli Dance Troupe, said it was a pleasure to be part of the event. "It was great. They approached us and told us what it was for, and we always do charitable events, so we were pleased to participate and would always be willing to support a cause that seeks to help children," she explained.

Each year, artistes provide their services free of charge to support the initiative which raises funds for charities for children. Craigy T of dancehall group TOK endorsed the cause of the Sagicor Group. "We are really pleased to have been part of this initiative. Corporate Jamaica supported and so have we," he said.

Dancehall's top notch I-Octane, who kept the energy high after a long morning for many, was heartened by the support of Jamaicans. "It's a charity movement. It's all about giving back and sometimes you can't always give back money, but in terms of gifts and giving of your talents. I see that the nation is behind the movement," he said.
