There are few things quite as pleasurable as two good friends, or partners, enjoying drinks on special occasions. Bacchanal Jamaica and Smirnoff know exactly what that feels like, sparking a renewal of its partnership this year with the intention that it will last for many more to come. "We have been on board with Bacchanal for quite a few years and it's a relationship that we're really looking to cement even further," said Lelieka Barnes, assistant brand manager, spirits, Smirnoff. "Right now if people come into Mas Camp and they don't see Smirnoff they're confused. With the Mug Deal that we offer, people want us there and it's easily one of the best sponsorships that we do, so it's not something that we will be letting go of anytime soon. We're proud of them, they've done 25 years and that's a significant achievement." So as the partnership blossoms, Barnes revealed that this year at the weekly Mas Camp events, the brand will be revealing more of the three new flavours the company brought in last year, peach, coconut and blueberry, and revellers will get an enhanced drinking experience by way of three special drink mixes, Raging Bull, Ringmaster and Midnight Blues. Barnes believes the drink mixes are sure to excite revellers during the eight weeks of soca fêtes in the Bacchanal season. an electric experience At Beach Jouvert, James Bond Beach, March 30, Barnes said the ante will be up as revellers have an electric experience. Last year, she said, there was kind of a water park inside Jouvert, but this year "we're going to be doing some crazy stuff with some scented paint and some awesome drinks". Barnes was reluctant to reveal too much because she wants revellers to come not knowing what to expect, but being prepared to have a wild time. The bar experience will be really sweet, she said, as there will be special sloshes and the new green apple-flavoured Smirnoff Ice available. That's only part of the experience. Barnes has urged soca fans to join the throng of revellers in April with their exclusive 'Cirque du Minuit' costumes, which, she said, is an extension of the groundbreaking 'Midnight Circus' club tour and campaign. She is also imploring revellers to get the limited edition Smirnoff Bacchanal season passes, which will give holders access to the Smirnoff VIP area at all Bacchanal events, as well as a 10 per cent discount when they're buying costumes. The bottom line, Barnes said, is that Smirnoff wants Jamaica's rabid soca fans to make every night an extraordinary one. |
