The St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force is yet to make a breakthrough in the murder of businessman Howard 'Pound Daddy' Hull, the husband of Jennifer Hull, councillor for the Sydenham Division in the parish.

Hull, 40, was shot dead in Old Harbour Bay, also in the parish.

Police said about 10:50 p.m., Hull was at a round robin when explosions were heard and he was found with gunshot wounds. His attacker reportedly jumped over a wall and escaped in the community. Hull was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Chairman of the St Catherine Parish Council, Councillor Norman Scott, said the murder has sent shockwaves throughout the local government body.

"Hull's death is a very callous act. It goes to show how daring criminals have become. I just want to extend condolences to Jennifer Hull and her family. The council mourns with them," Scott said.

Investigators said they have intensified the probe, however no one has been held in connection with the killing.
