Cops search for mother of foetus

The police are now searching for the mother of a foetus, believed to be male and about 8-10 weeks old, which was found in a canal on Rectory Road in May Pen, Clarendon on Saturday.

Reports from the May Pen police are that about 9:15 a.m., a resident stumbled upon a black scandal bag, made checks and discovered that it contained a foetus.

The police were alerted and the foetus was removed to the morgue.

Detectives are asking anyone with information that may be able to assist them in their investigations to contact them at 986-2208, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
