Two killed motor vehicle crashes |

|
Two persons were killed in separate motor vehicle crashes on Saturday. In the first incident, the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that Mark Cole, 38, of Old Hope Road, St Andrew, died as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle crash on Sandhurst Avenue, Kingston 6. Reports from the Matilda's Corner police are that about 5:50 p.m., Cole was walking along the road when he was hit by a Toyota Corolla motor car, which then crashed into a wall. Cole was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the motor car also sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital. In the second incident, the CCN said 56-year-old Kenton Hart of Cousins Cove district, Hanover died when he was hit by a Toyota Coaster bus on the Industry main road. The Green Island police say about 8:30 p.m., Hart was riding his bicycle towards Lucea, when the bus, which was heading in the same direction, crashed into the rear of the bicycle. Hart was rushed to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. Investigations continue in both incidents. |
