Many people may say that reggae music is a male-dominated genre, but throughout the decades, reggae has produced quite a number of talented female stars like Queen of Reggae Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt, Rita Marley, Carlene Davis, J.C. Lodge, Chevelle Franklyn, Queen Ifrica, Etana and Alaine just to name a few.

If US-based reggae songstress CatEyes has her way, it won't be long before her name is added to the illustrious list of talented females who have stamped their class on the reggae genre.

The beautiful young lady who hails from Kansas City, has been singing since age 14. She has created a unique style all of her own by fusing reggae with R&B, which has captivated music lovers all over the world.

Last year, CatEyes topped several reggae charts around the world with the Bobby Digital-produced hit Help Us.

"I did exceptionally well in 2012, I got major exposure all over the world because of the success of my single Help Us, it was number one on quite a few charts, including the Jamaica Music Countdown Reggae Chart," said CatEyes.

CatEyes believes that this year she will be able to make even greater strides musically, as she has been very busy working on a number of projects with several top reggae producers and she has also done collaborations with a number of popular dancehall and reggae stars.

"I think things are going to be even better this year. So far, I've been doing a lot of work in the studios and things are going really great. Everyone is very excited about what we've been doing so far and the fans can expect a lot more good music from me, I've already dropped a couple singles that are doing well. Later on during the course of the year I'll also be performing on a number of major events in Jamaica and the US."

CatEyes recently released three brand-new singles - Me & My Weed, Feel So Right and Dreaming.

Me & My Weed is currently number 12 on the Deejay Master Mix Chart, and number 10 on the Rocsolid FM reggae chart in the United Kingdom.
