Hi-Moore delivers lively performance at Western Champs event |

Hi-Moore - Contributed Makalon Family recording artiste Hi-Moore gave a great account of himself with a lively performance at the Western Champs event at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex in Montego Bay on February 16. He performed his recent radio hit, Go For Ma Goal, for the large audience. "The whole event was a great experience, the people gave me a big forward for Go For Ma Goal and there were some exceptional performances on the track from the athletes. It was great to be a part of something like that," he said. Hi-Moore has been steadily building a reputation for his high-energy live performances, most notably a blistering set during the 'Red, Green and Gold Affair' at Eight Miles in Bull Bay on New Year's Eve, and another great set at the 'More Unity' stage show in St Catherine. promotion Hi-Moore is now turning his attention towards the promotion of his video for his Go For Ma Goal, which is blowing up all over FM radio. "Right now, we have released the Go For Ma Goal video, and the goal is push Hi-Moore to the next level. Since the Eight Miles show, several promoters have been linking us to get him to perform," Makalon, Hi-Moore's manager, said in a release. Born Claude Ansine, but more popularly known as Hi-Moore, this young man initially got his exposure to performing while attending the Merlene Ottey High School in Hanover. After graduating, he decided to devote his interest to music full time, and that decision is already paying dividends. Hi-Moore hails from Papine/Tavern area of Kingston where he lived with his father, a taxi driver, and his mother, a factory worker. He grew up with two brothers and two sisters and started attending Papine High for one year before he was sent to Hanover to live with his father's parents in 1988. Music was always his Hi-Moore's first love, and that is where he is making his mark. He has been gaining recognition for singles such as Wilderness, Fly Away and Broken Heart. He has performed on a number of stage shows and entertainment events such as Sumfest during Dancehall Night (2003). He recently shot a video for Go Sonny, an inspirational song on a hip hop/R&B rhythm for producers in Switzerland. "Hi-Moore ah go for his goal inna 2013," Makalon said. |
