All systems are in place and raring to go, according to veteran sound system selector and founder of the annual Manchester Awards, Pink Panther. The popular Pink Panther, widely known for his 'sound clash' exploits on the infamous Black Kat sound, said he is very confident that his Manchester Awards, now in its fourth year, will be even bigger and better than years gone by. The awards, set to take place on Saturday, March 9 at Studio 47 Club in Mandeville, will highlight and award individuals from various sectors in entertainment, namely, artistes, promoters, clubs, stores, dancers and selectors. A lot of well-established artistes are set to make an appearance at the ever-growing awards ceremony. The list includes Cocoa Tea, I-Octane, Romain Virgo, Charly Black, Macka Diamond, along with up-and-coming acts from the veteran's 5 Star Camp Production label. Music will be provided by Black Kat, Bass Odyssey, Stone Love and Manchester-based selectors Niney Badness, Bad Ras, Country Tiger, Reptile Bling, Yellow Skoolaz, Don Hype and Little Vishus. The quick-thinking Pink Panther said he's pleased with the progression leading up to the event, and has assured patrons that they will experience an extremely well-organised ceremony while being entertained. "Everything is being put in place right now. It is just for the day to come and we execute. The awards have certainly grown over the past three years and this year we will step it up a notch. "All the artistes booked will be there. I have to highlight their support as well," he said. The Manchester Awards is being sponsored by Taj-Vaughn's newly built entertainment website www.PantaSon.com. |
