While his friends and best wishers poured continuously champagne all over the floor, Chicken & Tings boss Emelio Madden was seen, on several occasions, caught in a love embrace with wife Terry Ann as he celebrated uncontrollably another milestone on earth.

The man of the hour, more commonly referred to as Damion by his peers, was all smiles throughout the night as Mastermind, held on Saturday at a jam-packed and energy-filled Oneil's Place, successfully lived up to its hype.

There had been much talk about the event prior to its staging, and with patrons decked in their most-outrageous, most-expensive and most-elegant attire, the onus was squarely placed at the feet of the selectors to produce the kind of music that would not disappoint.

However, none of the six selectors booked disappointed their audience as, not for a minute did the energy level dip. Chicken & Tings DJ Energy set the tone for the evening with a mixture of lovers' rock and reggae.

He was followed by Jamrock's DJ Aggart who had the females in a musical trance during his set, coloured with a string of past and present hit songs from the hip-hop genre. Rhyme Up and Portmore-based Flava Unit delivered a high-octane performance, with the latter a little more efficient.

Chris Dymond and DJ Flabba Dabba were the standouts. Their set, highlighted by the uncontrollable and sometimes tipsy-looking women's inability to maintain composure during an onslaught of seductive songs, was literally flawless.

Six Killa, despite being given limited time to operate, continued on the same pattern and, long in the morning, patrons were still reluctant to leave.

"I couldn't ask for anything more," said an elated Damion. "Big up to everyone who turned out and who couldn't make it to show their support."
