Three shot at football match

Diandra Grandison, Star Writer

Three men were shot and injured at a football match at the University of the West Indies' Mona Bowl in St Andrew on Saturday.

The injured men were at the bowl to support the local August Town football team.

When the match ended about 5 p.m., a gunman in a green shirt and blue jeans reportedly opened fire on the men who were in a grey Toyota Corolla motor car. The gunman escaped.

The injured men were taken to the hospital. One of the three is said to be in serious condition.

The Campus police said the injured men were not students of the university. All three are from August Town.
