Western Bureau:

Following his decision last year to become a dancehall artiste, Jamaica's own human beat box Mixing Lab has scored a hit record with his latest single Most Gal that features his colleague Quata Blann.

The tag-team effort, according to Lab, enhances the dynamics of his career while showing off a different side to his entertainment skills - that he is more than just a beat-box prodigy.

"I must say that this new song we have out has really taken off and we are getting a good vibe from it in terms of the public feedback and the rotations on the radio stations. Quata Blann added the hit factor to it," Mixing Lab said during a recent interview.

The song's message, which celebrates the idea of having more than one female companion, is nothing new, but the creativity in adding the human beat box and vocals to Most Gal, offered a melodious tune that is catchy and simple in getting its message across.

He credited recording artiste Quata Blann for crafting the melodious track that was done on St Bess Records Hot Steam rhythm, and indicates this is the start of many more music projects from the duo, who are from Montego Bay.

strong alliance

"Quata Blann is no stranger to the business. While he has not been recognised for years for his musical talent, he is an excellent songwriter and I just think now is the right time to forge a strong alliance in making the transition from a beat box and producer to a full-fledged recording artiste," Mixing Lab further pointed out.

For years, Mixing Lab secured a huge fan base for his beat-box skills and has performed locally and internationally, but the business is demanding more of this entertainer.

He has also produced tracks for several recording artistes, including RDX.

"We are doing a lot of recording and promotions, because the thing is now at a new level and it requires us maintaining this momentum. Our new song is one of many projects my fans can expect for the rest of this year," the musician outlined.
