Cops seek suspect in 4-y-o's murder case

The suspect in the shooting death of four-year-old Rushane Burford has still not turned himself in to the police.

Detectives from the Major Investigation Task Force are still seeking Marlon McMillian, also called 'Chris, 'Thrutie' or 'Shootie', in relation to the shooting incident.

He is of dark complexion, slim build and was sporting a cornrow hairstyle at the time of the shooting.

McMillan is being asked to immediately turn himself in to the nearest police station.

The boy's grandmother was also shot in the January incident.

Reports are that the grandmother was involved in a dispute with a man from the area who then fired wildly into the yard, hitting the boy in the head, and injuring his grandmother.

It is reported that Burford, of Lord Elgin Street in Allman Town, Kingston 4, was hiding under a bed to elude the gunman's rampage.

Anyone who may have knowledge of McMillan's whereabouts is being asked to contact the Kingston Central police at 922-0308 or Crime Stop at 311 or 811, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
