Chuck Fenda delivers strong set at Manchester awards

Reggae artiste Chuck Fenda delivered a strong performance at the recently concluded Manchester awards, hosted at the Studio 47 club in Mandeville on March 9.

Dressed in a full brown outfit, the self-proclaimed 'Poor People Defender' received several encores from the attendees.

Chuck Fenda graced the stage to whistles from members of the audience. He entertained with songs like Warning, It Hard and Bun Up.

However, it was singles like Coming Over Tonight and Good Man In Your Life that had the female patrons fully immersed in his set as they screamed and helped the artiste to sing the hook for his songs.

"Have faith in Jah and love each other. Be strong and never give up in this hard economic climate," he said, before exiting the stage with an acoustic performance of his single, Mama.

"Manchester Awards was a good show and the patrons were very receptive. I just want to continue to give the people more positive music and keep rocking the stage shows. Reggae music is back on the rise, so I believe a lot is in store for us this year," Chuck Fenda said.

The artiste is booked to perform at Negril Escape and also at Boston Jerk Festival in coming weeks.
