The Old Harbour police seized a firearm, several rounds of ammunition and arrested two men at Nightingale Grove, Old Harbour, on Thursday morning.

Reports are that at about 10:15 a.m., a team of officers were on patrol in the area when they saw four persons travelling in a motor vehicle behaving suspiciously.

When the occupants saw the lawmen, three of them fled and the other was apprehended inside the vehicle. Another was later caught after an exchange of gunfire with the police.

A Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with 10 rounds of 9mm cartridges were also seized during the incident.

The police are still searching for the remaining two.
