Rickey Teetz' Tip Yuh getting excellent feedback

Montego Bay-based artiste Rickey Teetz has released a new single, Tip Yuh, in the dancehall, and the feedback has been excellent so far.

"I love being versatile, so this party song gives me a chance to show my wilder party side different from my conscious songs. The MoBay dancers have built a dance fi the song already. In this month, mi ah come town fi do some crazy promotions at Uptown Mondays, Gi Weh Wednesdays, and tun up the ting to the girl who can do the best Tip Yuh dance," he said in a release.

The single has already inspired a viral video online with girls doing an x-rated version of the Tip Yuh dance.

Teetz' previous single, the conscious Thousand Block A Day, produced by Platinum Wire on the Falmouth Town rhythm, has been getting a favourable response on FM radio. The video is also in rotation on HYPE TV, CVM, and RE, and scored a special video premiere on FIWI Choice TV.

"Is a song that connect with all hard-working Jamaicans who hustle to make their dreams a reality," he said.

Over the past two years, Rickey Teetz has become a major dancehall figure in the West, and he recently rocked a fair-sized audience during the Eyonja Birthnite Bash on March 2.

Other confirmed shows for the deejay include a concert in Lethe, Hanover, on April 13, and a show called Seduction, Pier One, MoBay on April 20. He will be one of the headliners on 'Party We Seh', at Jagans Lawn in Maroon Town in April.

Teetz is known for his brilliant wordplay, offbeat metaphors, and his undeniable swag, which have made him a popular figure out West. He first gained national recognition with his single Life Goes On, which peaked at #1 on the CVM Hitlist and generated quality airplay in several countries. The song, which speaks about the upliftment of life regardless of obstacles, is a central theme of Rickey Teetz' repertoire of songs.

The Poverty Life video continues to get regular rotation on RE TV, Hype TV, MD TV, CVM Plus, and several other local and international stations.
