Thee Promotress - Contributed Bahamian promoter Jameka Mortimer has launched her website, which will help push local artistes' music to places in the Caribbean, USA, Africa, and Europe. The young CEO, more commonly called Thee Promotress, officially launched her site on February 3. It promotes materials for a number of local and overseas entertainers such as Elephant Man, Charly Black, Future Fambo, Melloquence, Taji, Libran, Hitmaker, I-Romeo, Zayne, Kalcium, Wasp, Jade Lopez, Overdose, and others. The website, www.starsrus-promo.com, also promotes producers Frass Twins Music and Seanizzle Records. The company, which boasts over 4,000 Twitter followers, also sets up interviews for clients both locally and internationally. Mortimer, also a model by profession, said she fell in love with Jamaican music at a tender age and has followed it since being raised in Freeport, Bahamas. "I have always loved Jamaican music. Growing up in Bahamas, dancehall wasn't such a big thing, but so much has changed. So the love affair began from a very tender age," she said. The gorgeous entrepreneur sees her website as unique and effective as it offers a variety of promotional methods, which so far, have borne fruit for her customers. "I have many links to Jamaica, the Caribbean, USA, and Europe. So, the idea is to help my clients build fan bases in these places and also arrange radio interviews locally and internationally. The first priority is to always promote clients properly," she said. Among the many materials being pushed are Elephant Man's Harlem Shake (remix); Future Fambo's Fill My Cup; Melloquence's Go For Mine; and Charly Black's trio of songs Unstoppable, We Nah Beg; and Wine And Kotch, which features J Capri. |
