Dancehall superstar Macka Diamond is amping up her promotion of her radio hit single 'Dye Dye'.

The saucy single has generated over 10,000 views over the past week, showing that the wily dancehall veteran still has a powerful legion of fans.

Macka Diamond was in sparkling form during selector Panther's Manchester Awards show last Saturday. She hit the stage during I-Octane's set as the deejay did his chart-topping Gal A Gimme Bun song. Macka Diamond walked on and did her monster hit, Bun Him, and the venue erupted into cheers.

"The crowd really loved it. The Bun Him song is a real dancehall classic, and then he did another song about the girl coming back, and mi counteract him by saying if him come back and nah gwaan good, mi ah gi him bun again, and the crowd bawled forward again. It was just great fun," she said.

Last Sunday, she also performed at the Appleton Estate in St Elizabeth after the football match between Appleton football team and Frazer's Content.

"After the match, I did a couple of my songs, then I headed to Brit Jam Fantasy Island in Montego Bay, and it was shellings again. Dye Dye tek the show," she said.

Based on the reaction of dancehall fans to her latest Dye Dye hit, Macka Diamond is pushing ahead with plans to shoot a video for the Truck Back Records-produced song.

"We will be shooting a video this week for the song. This is the fastest I have seen one of my songs take off ever, so I am going all out with the promotion," she said.

Macka Diamond's previous single, Forty And Fabulous, hit #3 on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts.

As the soca season heats up, Macka Diamond has also seen a spike in the sales for the Wukking Up remix she recorded with the sizzling soca siren Patrice Roberts.

She is booked to appear on a soca show in Montego Bay on March 26.

In April, she will head back to the United States to resume the book tour for her book Naughty or Nice (Bun Him Part 2).
