Teen on gun rap to know fate April 2

A teen who was found in possession of a stolen firearm will know his fate on April 2 when sentencing is scheduled to take place in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Eighteen-year-old Dinero Spaulding pleaded guilty yesterday in court to receiving a firearm knowing it to be stolen or otherwise obtained.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey said, "In my days it use to be slingshot but nowadays its gun... you tell me why you shouldn't go to jail?"

Spaulding did not provide an answer and was remanded in custody.

He will be sentenced on April 2.
