Mye Laurell 'Move' to Jamaica for video shoot

US-based recording artiste Mye Laurell returned to the island last week to shoot a music video for the popular 'Move (Come On)' radio hit.

"The shoot went well. We did locations in Stony Hill and Kingston. We had dancers, great production and a great story line. People are gonna love it, this is perhaps my best music video to date ... it was a joy shooting it in Jamaica," Mye Laurell said.

The saucy Move is produced by well-known beatmaker Blaqk Sheep, who is known for the monster hit project, the Chrome rhythm on the South Block Iconz label which produced four No.1 songs for artistes Sizzla (That's Ok), Capleton (In Her Heart), Elephant Man (Keep It Jiggy), and Vybz Kartel (Little Lady).

"The beat is really infectious, and when this music video drops it is going to change how Jamaican dancehall-reggae music is perceived. It was a real joy to work with Blaqk Sheep," a confident Mye Laurell said.

The femme fatale's Move song has been gaining recognition in a number of Caribbean islands, Europe, Canada, USA, Africa and all over the world via the Internet and various social media.

She has a Lonely Times video on excellent rotation on HYPE, CVM and RE TV. Her singles have begun to generate a lot of interest on www.youtube.com, among others.

"My soundcloud account is really moving with Move, I am getting a lot of views, this could be my most popular song," she said.

Laurell first vaulted into the spotlight with the Wanting You remix with reggae-dancehall veteran Delly Ranx, produced by Anthony Malvo, and another single Sexy Rock, produced by Fleximus-Prime of the Netherlands.

Other standout songs include a conscious song called Be Stronger, which urges resilience and determination even in the face of outrageous odds. Mye Laurell is unfazed by the competitive nature of the music business and the fact that so many young female artistes are on the rise.
