He is known for his covers of Debarge's 'Who's Holding Donna Now', the Backstreet Boys' 'All I Have to Give' and 'I Want It That Way'. Singer Khristopher is back with another appetising cover.
His latest effort is an updating of Richard Marx's 1989 hit, Right Here Waiting for You.
"I used to love this song when I was much younger, and still do. even before I could sing. I was always a fan of slow jams, especially songs like this," Khristopher said.
Asked why he decided to put his own spin on the track, he noted: "The thing that impresses me about this song was how Richard Marx delivered it, how it was done with lots of feelings. I could relate to what he was singing about because I had a similar experience."
Khristopher has been knocking on the doors of stardom since the late 1990s. He once worked with the Louis Malcolm-helmed Mo Music label and later Kingston 6 Records. He's now doing things on his own.
"I've been trying to get a team together to work with. I think teamwork makes your dream work. I've started my label Singry Records, and doing a lot more producing and songwriting," he explained.
He recently recorded songs for the Stone Love label as well as for producer Michael 'Askel' Fairman and Damion 'Congo Man' Rose.
"You can look out for some more covers from the 70s and 80s, songs like Should've Known Better, another Richard Marx original, and If You're Not Here by Menudo. I also have some original material to be released," said Khristopher.
