Court told ... MAN BITES GUARD AFTER DISPUTE

A windscreen wiper who was charged after biting a security guard and also damaging his shirt will know his fate on December 13 when he reappears in court.

The matter was called up yesterday in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court and the accused, 25-year-old Andre Lenon pleaded guilty to both charges.

He is charged with malicious destruction of a shirt and assault after biting the complainant on his left arm.

Lenon told Resident Magistrate Simone Wolfe-Reece, "Your honour a him first bite me, two time, before mi give him back a one bite."

The accused man told the court that he had been visiting the supermarket where the altercation took place years before the guard began working there. He said ever since the complainant came to that location they have had issues.

Lenon said, "The security deh ever a follow mi up and say him must beat me ... Dem tek set pan me because mi nuh have nobody ... a dats why dem beat me up ..."

Lenon was remanded in custody and a fingerprint order was also made.
