Deejay, woman in street brawl!

A man is allegedly at the centre of an ugly brawl between a popular female dancehall artiste and another woman, after the two squared off last Saturday. The brawl has since generated a buzz on the Internet.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the fracas took place in a St Andrew community between the deejay and another woman. Both are said to be from the same community.

A source from the community with knowledge of the developing feud told THE STAR what transpired.

She said: "The next woman tell di deejay say anytime she buck her she a go shell har dung, so she see har and her fren ... and kick har down and trample har."

Our news team understands that no one was seriously injured during the encounter as scores of people intervened bringing an abrupt end to the attack.

Our news team has also learnt that the tension has escalated as those who are associated with the dancehall artiste vow to defend her cause.

Efforts by THE STAR to speak with the artiste proved futile as calls to her cell phone went to voicemail.

The STAR also communicated with the alleged man at the centre of the controversy.

He asked our news team to call him back in 10 minutes as he was not in a surrounding where he could speak. However, on call back, his phone rang without answer.

The police, while acknowledging that they heard about the incident, have no official report.
