Officers warn females of unscrupulous persons

Senior Officers attached to the St James Police Division are advising females in the parish that unscrupulous individuals, mostly men, are using various means to lure them into sexual activities which are secretly videotaped and photographed without their consent.

The victims are then threatened and fleeced of funds in order to keep the videos and photos confidential.

Sadly, many of the victims are children.

Parents/guardians are being urged to take charge of their children, especially their daughters, as they are being targeted by these callous individuals.

Anyone with information about these activities and the persons involved, is being asked to contact the St James Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) office at 952-4997 or the St James Criminal Investigation Branch at 953-6191, police emergency 119 number or the nearest police station.
