Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

Investigators in the St Catherine North Police Division said that a man wanted for several years has been held in another parish and is now facing criminal charges.

The man, the investigators say, is facing charges of murder, shooting with intent, illegal possession of firearm, conspiracy and several other charges.

Investigators have withheld his name as he is to face identification parades in connection with additional crimes reportedly committed by him.

The Star was told that the man, who is a well-known gangster who rained terror on parts of St Catherine, has eluded capture on numerous occasions.

He was reportedly living under a different name, however, investigators ascertained his true identity and he was eventually held.
