74-y-o goat farmer found dead

The Spanish Town police in St Catherine are searching for person/s responsible for the death of a senior citizen who was found dead near his farm yesterday.

The dead man has been identified as Beresford Robinson, a 74-year-old goat farmer from Hill Run district in the parish.

Reports are that Robinson was reported missing from home on Tuesday. An investigation was launched by the police. During the investigations, the police said, evidence of foul play was discovered near to the elderly man's farm.

As a result, a search was launched. His body was eventually found with what appeared to be stab wounds in bushes. Investigators said no one has been held in connection with his death but they are continuing their probe.

Robbery is said to be the motive behind Robinson's killing as goat carcasses were found on the farm.
