Old Harbour fishermen missing

There is a search and rescue mission being carried out by the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard for the two fishermen who have been missing at sea since Monday.

It is reported that the fishermen left Old Harbour Bay for Middle Cay, on the Pedro Banks.

The men Richard Hamilton and Ian Crook, both from Old Harbour Bay, reportedly left on a white and orange canoe named 'Puncie' at 4:10 on Sunday afternoon.

They were expected to be at Middle Cay, Pedro Banks, at 10 p.m., but never arrived.

The coast guard was called in and conducted a detailed search of the indicated areas, but, up to Tuesday morning, the vessel had not been seen.

The JDF Air Wing has been incorporated into the search efforts with the use of a helicopter.
