Kalado gearing up for Sting 30


Dancehall artiste Kalado, fresh from a recent stint in Canada, is gearing up for Sting 30, which will take place at Jamworld Entertainment Centre in Portmore, St Catherine, on Boxing Night, December 26.

Kalado was in Canada shooting music videos for recent projects.

This is Kalado's first Sting performance, and he plans to bring it for his fans. "Well, to share the stage with some of the legends (in dancehall) is a great feeling because I grew up listening to these artistes, and I have respect for all of them and for the fans. I can't wait to showcase my talent in front of arguably the toughest dancehall crowd in the world. Just asking my fans to come out early because I'm new to this show," he said.

He added: "My fans, especially my ladies, can look out for an electrifying performance from me because I'm gonna give it my all. Is a great feeling being on this iconic show because Sting is celebrating 30 years and Kalado is not yet 30."

The Alliance Next Generation (ANG) artiste said growing up, it was always his dream to be on the show and he is willing to grab the opportunity with both hands.

crafty lyricist

Kalado is a crafty lyricist and his style is unique. This is what has assisted his move up the entertainment ladder in Jamaica. In addition, Dre Day Productions has pushed the artiste's music and his hard work is paying off.

Kalado is known for songs such asMake Me Feel (his breakthrough single), Bad inna Bed, andGood Good Bring Life, among others.

Sting 30 is sponsored by Magnum Tonic Wine in association with Supreme Promotions and Downsound Records. It is regarded as 'the greatest one-night reggae show on Earth' because of its impressive line-up of artistes.
