D'Angel blazes St Lucia stage

The first lady of dancehall delivered a spectacular performance at Love Fest in St Lucia last weekend.

Love Fest, a two day musical affair, featured the Jamaican femme who shared the stage with musical heavyweights like Bounty Killer, Richie Spice and Mad Cobra as the only female artiste to represent Jamaica and dancehall music.

hair-raising thriller

D'Angel's performance was a hair-raising thriller. From her fierce outfit, to her exhilarating and provocative performance, the diva had the crowd eating out of the palm of her hands so much so that she received three encores.

D'Angel's debut performance in the island featured renditions of her songs Stronger, Caan Love Yuh Good (featuring G-Whizz), First Lady, Baby Fada, Downtown Girl, and Time of my Life (featuring Beenie Man), which had the patrons singing along to the music.

Backed by the Live Wya band, D'Angel's stunning performance is a reminder of the reason she is the first lady of dancehall and a force to be reckoned with as her growing fan base in St Lucia can now attest.

Not only is this a great milestone in her career, coming fresh off her recent celebrity clash victory at the Famous nightclub, but it is also a groundbreaking development for Jamaican music.

D'Angel has made history and represented dancehall and Jamaica in outstanding form. Love Fest, one of St Lucia's biggest music events of the year, also featured legends like John Holt and Percy Sledge.

D'Angel's fans can look forward to much more of her stellar performances on the Boom All-Island Road Show and entertainment spots all over Jamaica as well as upcoming shows in the US, the UK, Canada, and Africa.
