Traditionally, the massive crowd gathered at the Tastee Talent Trail Grand Finals over the years has been treated to high-class performances from the guest artistes on the programme.

Thursday, December 12, was no different as a huge crowd was treated to stellar performances by Jamaica's Michael Jackson and his troupe; last year's Tastee Talent Trail winner, Anthony Clarke; and upcoming conscious reggae singer, Simple Rattigan.

In 2007, singers Tarrus Riley, Etana, and deejay Beenie Man were in the spotlight, and last year, an impromptu performance by Ninja Man brought the house down.

At this year's event, MC Elva brought last year's winner, Anthony Clarke, on stage and the deejay jumped right into things with Real Gallis and Artiste Girls, but it was his winning entry last year, 300 Catty, that rocked the crowd. This went so well the son of St Mary gave the crowd a piece of 300 Catty (Part 2).

Riding on the wave of success of his first release, It Nuh Pretty, Simple Rattigan stamped his class as one for the future. In the mould of Luciano, Rattigan reeled off Fadda We Need Now and One Day, which scored well with the crowd.

From the moment he walked on stage to the thumping sound of Billie Jean, Jamaica's Michael Jackson had the crowd spellbound. Beat It was next and received the same treatment of deft footwork along with hand and body movement similiar to that of the late King of Pop. However, it was when 'Michael' was joined by his 20-strong troupe to do Thriller that the crowd went wild as it brought back memories of the mega hit video.
