Wil Sylvince

Local comedy enthusiasts are in for a hilarious holiday treat, when Haitian-American sensation, Wil Sylvince, and Caribbean queen of comedy, Rachel Price, bring an international flavour to the annual Christmas Comedy Cook-up.

Sylvince, on his third visit to the island, is one of the most explosive comedians performing around the world today.

He honed his act in New York's top comedy clubs - the Comedy Cellar, Comic Strip Live, Caroline's on Broadway, Stand-Up NY and the Gotham Comedy Club.

His performances on BET's Comic View, HBO'S Def ComedyJam and Showtime at the Apollo, have all garnered standing ovations.

When he is not touring with acts comic heavyweights Damon Wayans, DL Hughley, Chris Tucker, Kat Williams and Bill Bellamy, Wil Sylvince is a wanted commodity at college campuses. His versatility to work clean, as well as edgy, make him one of the USA's top-booked college comedians.

host

Trinidadian Rachel Price, also known as Priceless Rachel, is the undisputed queen of Caribbean Comedy. She has been on the comedy circuit for more than 16 years and has the ability to connect with her audience.

She believes everything and anything can be funny. Price co-hosts the number-one morning show on the urban station in Trinidad & Tobago and produces her own television series, The Rachel Price Show, the most viewed series in her time slot.

She was also the lead actress in the award-winning sitcom produced in Canada, Lord Have Mercy.

The seductive and explosive entertainer promises to deliver her own humorous take on a number of topical issues, including the simmering Jamaica-Trinidad trade and immigration controversy.

The laughter-filled extravaganza, scheduled for Boxing Day at the Jamaica Pegasus, is being billed as the 10th anniversary red-carpet edition of the annual end-of-year calendar event. Sylvince and Price will join a host of local favourites on the show, which also boasts the largest line-up of stand-up comics ever assembled on a Jamaican stage.

Main sponsors for Christmas Comedy Cook-up are LIME and Courts Jamaica Limited.
