Give a lottery ticket for Christmas

Supreme Ventures is throwing out the challenge to Jamaicans to gift their loved ones with a lottery ticket over the holiday season.

Sonia Davidson, Supreme Ventures' vice-president of Group Corporate Communications, notes: "Both regular players and first-timers will appreciate the opportunity to potentially support their dreams, whether it be the purchase of a new car, electronics or a well-needed piece of furniture. A lotto ticket can put a little extra pizzazz into your holiday shopping."

With so many lottery agents islandwide, including a lottery ticket as part of a holiday gift, is fast, easy and convenient. "This is the perfect opportunity for people to get all their shopping done in just one place!" Davidson continued.

When asked what kinds of gifts she has been getting, Valerie Stanton replied, "You know, I'm really more of a card person, but I wanted to find a little way to spice up my cards this year. And one of my guy friends jokingly said 'Why yu nuh buy lotto ticket an put in di cards?' I thought this was a great idea!"

The minimum lotto wager is $50 and persons can win cash prizes just by 'catching' three out of the six numbers.

Since January of this year, 10 jackpot winners have been declared and more than $586 million in lotto winnings have been paid out in 2013 alone.

The lotto game is drawn live on Wednesdays and Saturdays on TVJ and broadcast live on IRIE FM.
