Glowell Preparatory School Christmas Cantata

The adorable pre-school children were awesome.

There's always a bright spark whenever the talented bunch of students from Glowell Preparatory School put on a show.

And recently, during the school's Christmas cantata at Faith Temple New Testament Church, it was no different.

Even though this writer did not want to single out any particular performer or group, Avia Martin was really a crowd pleaser. During the storytelling scene for the birth of Jesus Christ, Martin sang the Christmas song, Mary Did You Know, to appreciative applause. The cheers got louder as she tested her vocals and showed sheer brilliance with the higher notes.

It was a sight to behold to see the kindergarten and the preparatory children performing in recognition of the Messiah.

At the end of proceedings, principal, Gloria Jack, congratulated teachers, students, and parents and all who played a role in the success of the production. She even reminded the hopefuls that Jesus was the main "reason for the season."
