JNBS members urged to use other banking channels

More members of Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) are being encouraged to use alternate banking channels, and some will have the opportunity to win a tablet computer, via the JN e-banking promotion, from December through January 4, 2014.

The 'Let your fingers do the talking to Win' promotion will give members who use either JNBS automated teller machines (ATM), the LIVE by JN online banking platform or the LIVE by JN text banking service, the opportunity to win one of three Asus Nexus tablets.

Ricardo Dystant, manager, e-banking at JNBS, said the push towards increased use of alternative channels comes as the company has "increased the implementation of technology as a vital part of our customer-service infrastructure.

"Our members want access to their funds and our services in a way that is easily accessible and convenient," he explained, noting that "through our ATM network across the island, online and text banking services, persons are always able to access their account information."

He said that from now until January 4, 2014, JN members will receive an entry each time they use a JN ATM for a transaction; access LIVE by JN online banking for services or check their account information via the LIVE by JN text banking service.

"With more than 53 ATM locations across the island, Jamaica National has made it easier for our members to have convenient and easy access to their funds, free of charge," Dystant said.

Since 2012, the JNBS has achieved a 44 per cent increase in the number of transactions being processed via LIVE by JN, and this figure continues to increase on a monthly basis.
