Former US 'most wanted' back in Jamaica

A Jamaican who was once characterised as the 'most wanted fugitive' by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is back in Jamaica, THE STAR understands.

ICE and Removal Operations officers transported 46-year-old Clive 'Rambo' Dixon to Jamaica last Thursday, after officers and special agents with ICE successfully tracked him down.

He was found living illegally in Brooklyn.

Dixon was wanted for removal after he evaded arrest in 2010 and was enlisted to ICE's Most Wanted Fugitives.

Dixon was first deported from the US in 1993, after being convicted in New York of criminal possession of a firearm.

He later illegally re-entered the US before immigration authorities located him in North Carolina.

THE STAR gathered that when officers attempted to take Dixon into custody he fled, and his whereabouts were unknown until special agents received information that he was in a Brooklyn apartment.

Dixon was arrested without incident on October 24.
