Wanted men shot and killed in operation

Two men said to be prominent figures on the St James police most wanted list were shot and killed yesterday during Operation Resilience in Hopewell, Hanover.

Reports reaching THE WEEKEND STAR are that the men were killed during a confrontation with the lawmen.

The dead men have since been identified as Randy 'Bolo' Walters and Oshane 'Gue', Green, both of Rose Heights in St James.

Further reports are that about 12:15 Thursday morning a joint police/military team went to a house in Hopewell where an intense gun battle ensued.

They were taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Two firearms were reportedly seized in the incident.

According to the Area One police, Walters and Green were wanted in connection with a series of serious crimes, including murders in St James.

Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has reportedly launched a probe into the fatal shootings.
