Two millionth visitor visits Jamaica

Jamaica welcomed its two-millionth visitor to the island for the year yesterday.

The country achieved the milestone yesterday afternoon when American Airlines Flight 380 from Miami, Florida, arrived at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, at 3:50.

This is a major achievement for the country as it is the first time Jamaica is welcoming more than two million visitors over a one-year period.

Tourism Minister Dr Wykeham McNeill, Director of Tourism John Lynch, and Mayor of Montego Bay Councillor Glendon Harris participated in a welcome reception at the airport following the arrival of the flight.
