Trevena Mattis crowned Miss Braeton 2013

Trevena Mattis, sashed by Carnegie Auto Rental Limited, was crowned Miss Braeton 2013 at the beauty pageant's climax at Ebony Lawn in Old Braeton recently.

The Digicel-sponsored event was well attended by people from the community and surrounding areas. Pandemonium broke loose in the venue when family and friends heard the announcement that their beloved Trevena had won. She received $15,000 and a trophy, which was presented to her by Daniela McLean from Digicel.

The first runner-up was Annecia Thomas (Miss Cybernet Café) and the second runner-up was Amoya Mccalla (Miss Early Beginning Prep School).

The sectional award winners included best dressed, Alleasha Gordon (Miss Brown Brothers); and Best Talent Piece by Annecia Thomas, who also won Best Smile.

Guest performances came from Andrea Davis with a spiritual rendition, a comedic stint by a group called Collas, and a presentation from an explosive dance group based in Portmore.

Odette Blagrove, president of Running Stream Family, the producers of the Miss Braeton Beauty Pageant, thanked her team for the successful show.

The organising body included CEO Clinton Gayle Cecil Morgan, Marvin Plunkett, Nicholas Foote, and Don Hamilton.
