Alleged wanted man killed outside Spanish Town

An alleged wanted man was shot and killed by police just outside Spanish Town, St Catherine, yesterday.

He has been identified as Errol Miller otherwise called 'Car Key', a 36-year-old labourer from Crescent district in the parish.

Investigators told THE STAR that Miller was wanted for several crimes commited in the St Catherine North Police Division.

It is reported that about 7:30 a.m. a police party was on an operation in the Crescent community.

The police allegedly approached a house and was shot at by gunmen. The fire was reportedly returned and following the shoot-out Miller was shot and killed. An illegal handgun was reportedly taken from him.

The Independent Commission of Investigations, has started a probe into the matter.
