An investigation is under way to find persons who were involved in the severe beating of a pastor in late December.

Meanwhile, the member of the clergy has remained in hospital nursing multiple injuries arising from the incident. The beating reportedly occurred at Grove Farm, near Old Harbour, in St Catherine.

Reports are that the pastor was found about 8:30 a.m. on December 30 with cuts, bruises and fractured limbs.

Police reports are that she was attacked at home by masked men.

The hoodlums dragged her outside, beat her severely and left her there. She was subsequently seen and taken to seek medical treatment. She has been in hospital ever since.

Investigators said the police were still vigorously pursuing the culprits.
