Cops probing suspected case of suicide

The Adelphi police in St James are investigating a suspected case of suicide after the body of a man was removed from a tree in the parish yesterday morning.

Information reaching our news desk is that Michael Brown of a Kirkpatrick address in Orange district in St James is suspected of having committed suicide at his home.

According to the police, about 7 a.m., they were summoned to the premises and upon arrival, the body of the deceased was seen hanging from a tree.

THE STAR gathered that a rope was tied around Brown's neck.

The Scene of Crime detectives processed the scene and Brown's body was later removed to the morgue.

Investigations are ongoing.
