McDiamond gets attention with 'Life' video

Reggae singer McDiamond is enjoying attention with the music video for his thought- provoking single, 'Life'.

The music video, directed by popular western Jamaica music video director, Richard Brown, has been receiving strong rotation on a number of TV stations including CVM Plus, RETV and E Plus since its release. The video peaked at the number-two spot on the On The Rise Chart on CVM TV's Hit List show.

"I'm very happy about the response my video has been getting. It's a bit surprising because it is my first project and I didn't know how the public would respond to it. So far, so good, its all going well and I'm very appreciative for the support I am getting," said McDiamond.

According to McDiamond, "I'm working on the (debut) album right now in order to get it finished in time for a summer release. Paul Francis of Highlight studio is the producer. So far, we have recorded some really nice tracks. I think it's really going to be a wonderful album."

McDiamond also plans to drop a few more singles before the album is released.

"I'm going to release a few more singles before we put the album out. But before I do that, I'm going to push my current single some more."
