Reward offered for missing Jamaicans

André Williams, STAR Writer

A $100,000.00 reward is being offered to anyone who can provide information leading to the safe return of two Jamaicans who reportedly disappeared while attempting an illegal entry into the United States via The Bahamas.

THE WEEKEND STAR understands that family members of 35-year-old Dwayne Campbell and 34-year-old Andre Bignall became concerned after attempts to contact them since December 18 have failed.

It was revealed that on that same day the men informed family members that they would be leaving from Freeport, Grand Bahama for Miami.

A family member who wishes to remain anonymous said the two arrived in The Bahamas on December 5, where they met with a Bahamian woman who they paid to assist them in getting to the US.

The relative said bad weather caused the men's travel plans to be rescheduled, and the woman allegedly took them to a hotel.

The men have not been seen or heard from since.

The family member said she is contemplating to file a formal report on the matter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
